CFA hosts roundtable featuring Huffington, Angelides and Travis

Arianna Huffington, columnist and political commentator, visitedcampus this afternoon as a participant in the California FacultyAssociation’s roundtable discussion on budget cuts. State TreasurerPhil Angelides and CFA president John Travis were the other twoparticipants discussing Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger’s proposedbudget and its impact on the California State UniversitySystem.
Students and staff gathered for the forum which was held in thePlaywright’s Theatre in Shasta Hall at noon today.
The proposed budget would cut CSU funding by 20 percent over thenext two years, according to Angelides.
The CFA represents the CSU’s 23,000 teaching faculty andstaff.
