Campus loses power, twice.
January 31, 2004
Students and residents at Sacramento State were left in the dark on Friday night after two campus-wide power outages.
The first outage occurred at 8:29 p.m with power being restored at 9:01 p.m. Power was lost again at 9:08 p.m. for about 20 seconds.
Only two classes on campus were scheduled to be taking place at the time of the outages. Emergency generators were used to supply limited power in the residence halls.
The cause of the outages is not yet known. A much longer outage struck campus at night during finals week last semester, lasting nearly three hours.
