Divinity not bound by religion

Hornet columnist Jason Okamoto who a week ago wrote that it is possible our attention span has decreased because of technology’s advancement in television arts, knows his brain activity is quicker than most. High-speed changes in the brain have also begun to move at a quicker rate, theoretically making us smarter. Why then have politics and religion halted human evolution? Our actions today are blunting the advancement of our spirit.
Who is sending us to war? Is it Harvard’s most famous C-student cheerleader?
Is God sending us to war? Or is it the combination of two societal elements one full of power, one starved of it.
War is the real plague on humanity because its about money, power, and death. Politics is money and control, it eats and sleeps with wealth, thirsts for power, and plays war with death.
My soul begins to tell me that war is solely political, but then with religious strength, “good”and “evil” back-hands my face.Together good and evil create a logical balance, but the two fighting is like Yin and Yang arguing over which has a better shape.
This is where our problems begin. Whoever thinks they are playing for the good guys is not doing the world a favor by destroying the bad guys. Children’s cartoons taught us that much.In its pursuit to rid the world of evil and live in the light, religion instead invites death and has haunted us for centuries. God forbid God sending us to war and blessing any death. But it is God who many are fighting for.
Bush is speaking of money when he says, “God Bless.” Our leader has no reason to speak of holy names from his mouth. “And Jesus answered and said unto them, take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.” (Mathew 24:4,5)
Even with the Bible’s wisdom, and the other holy books, our souls still insist on showing hereditary similarities of the Neanderthal (i.e. Caveman, homoerectus) era.
Divine knowledge we seek is not high above us, nor stuck in any one person’s body. It’s not found on the inside of a book, it’s within us.
It has crept through the rice patties in Vietnam, its dark smoke fell with the towers in New York, and it will sandstorm on all, in Iraq. Politics wants us to vote, make one decision for a nation of different beliefs, follow all laws, and then pay them dues! Religion wants us to get married before good sex, be holy, kneel beneath the Lord, love, hate, follow, donate, and I just want to be cool. Shame them for ruining love and ethics!
Politics and religion have made sure that we have no grasp on either.
