Earn 3 units in Venice this summer, informational meeting today
February 22, 2002
The CSUS Department of Design is hosting the third annual Design and Architecture in Italy Program which is offered in Venice, Jun. 3- 24th. This trip, which is a course called European Design, is open to all majors and to the general public. Students who participate will receive three units of credit from Sac State. Included in the trip is roundtrip airfare, 20 nights accommodation in furnished apartments, arrival and departure transfers, all entrance fees to museums, palaces, villas, and much more for $3,670.
“It?s an absolutely wonderful way to learn about history,” said Jim Kenney, professor in the Design Department. Kenney, who will be attending Venice, again this summer, says that this is a great educational experience for those who attend. Students who attend are expected to keep a journal of what they see and do on a day-to-day basis, mentions Kenney. “This really is a fun course to take.”
Last summer, sixteen individuals took part of the Italy program, and Kenney hopes to get the same outcome this year.
It?s not too late to sign up for this voyage. Students who are still interested can attend the two meetings left for this trip on Feb. 23 from 10-11 a.m. at the CSUS Regional and Continuing Education building, located on 7750 College Town Dr. and on Mar. 5 from 5-6 p.m. in the Design Department Gallery located in Mariposa Hall, room 4000. Mar. 22nd is the deadline of when full payments must be paid.
