“Choralfest 2001” guarantees enjoyment

Donald Kendrick and the California State University Men?s Chorus, Women?s Chorus, Concert Chorale and the University Chorus will present “Choralfest 2001” on Saturday,March 24, at 8 p.m., in the Sacred Heart Church at 39th and J Streets, Sacramento.

The production features the Sacramento premiere of Italian composer Ildebrando Pizzetti?s “Messa Di Requiem,” an extraordinary work of great beauty for unaccompanied choir.

The program will also include works for Men?s Chorus by Keith Christopher, Allen Pote and Joseph Martin.

The Women?s Chorus will perform works from Canada and Czechoslovakia, and the Concert Chorale will present American choral works by Daniel Gawthrop, Olaf Christiansen and William Dawson.

“Choralfest 2001” will guarantee an evening of enjoyment and beautiful music.
