What students expect from this semester?s Job Fair

Sacramento State students will be able to apply for part-time work, internships and seasonal employment at this semester?s Job Fair.

With so many different majors available to students on campus it may be hard to cover all aspects at a job fair. For those students who know about the Job Fair, there are different driving forces for their attendance.

“I am a pre-nursing major, so I would like to see hospital jobs or internships,” junior Cher Yang said.

Sophomore Fang Yang wants to see anything that deals with computers or electronics at this year?s job fair.

“Computer jobs or internships would be nice to see,” Fang said.

Just as students want to see different types of internship opportunities, they will also be attending the Job Fair for different reasons.

Some of them will be looking for internships while others will be looking for part-time jobs just to get them through the summer with some extra spending cash.

“I?ve done the whole internship thing,” junior Ray Collins said. “I?m just looking for a job that will let me have fun and help pay my rent this summer.”

The free marketing materials companies usually have to pass out are always the attraction for some.

“Just go for the experience,” Fang Yang said. “Unless they are giving out free stuff, then that would be cool too.”
