The Hucklebucks, a mixture of jump blues and swing, will perform at the University Union Hinde Auditorium at noon on Wednesday, Nov. 29.

“Our influences come from New Orleans, Chicago, Texas and California,” said Doug James, Hucklebucks saxophone/ harmonica player.

“The shows are fun, there is a lot of dancing in the crowd,” said James.

The quartet includes Doug James on the saxophone and harmonica, Joshua Minucci on caustic bass, Robert Sidwell on guitar, and Joey V. on drums. James, Joey V., and Sidwell also sing.

They have had a few different drummers and bass players since the band formed 4 years ago.

“The band now is the best we’ve ever had,” said James.

The Hucklebucks perform regularly at Aces on I-80 and Madison Avenue and draw a large crowd.

“It has become a big crowd now,” said James.

T-shirts and the latest CD titled “Everybody’s in the Mood” will be available at the show.
