The new Hornet Logo was introduced to the campus today at the Outdoor Theater at Sac State.

The University collaborated with the SFX Sports Group to come up with the logo.

“We’re very excited with the new logo,” men’s basketball coach Jerome Jenkins said. “We’re also very excited to show the public what we’re all about.”

Carolyn Jenkins, the new basketball coach for the women, also likes the school’s new logo.

“It’s a new era for basketball here at Sac State,” Carolyn Jenkins said. “The new logo will take us into the 21st century.”

Both basketball teams play their first exhibition games this week, as the men host TCS on Saturday and the women host Holy Names on Tuesday.
