Muntant mayhem hit the University Ballroom Thursday night as UNIQUE Programs showed the film release of the box-office hit, “X-men,” free of charge.

The ballroom was able to seat 900 X-men fans, which quickly filled with students, parents and children. The mutant “melee” featured a trivia contest and other excitement. “It was pretty tight,” said marketing major, Juan Contreas, who enjoyed the movie for the first time.

UNIQUE Programs is a student funded program that supports campus activities such as X-men before it reaches the video stores and on on-flight movies. Next week they will host nationally televised Politically Incorrect with Bill Maher, Friday, Oct. 27 at 8 p.m.
