Theatre and Dance production schedule offers three plays for fall

If you’re ever in the mood to go relieve some of the stress that lingers over you from school, then check out some of the plays that Sacramento State’s Department of Theatre and Dance has to offer. This semester the department put together a variety of plays that will make everyone ask to see more. Get your friends together and see what an exciting fall semester this will be in theatrical productions.

* What? Cat on a Hot Tin Roof: A Pulitzer Prize-winning drama of the seething passions that beset a wealthy Southern family whose lives are stripped of pretense in a shattering moment of revelation. Written by Tennessee Williams and directed by Paul Waldo. When? Oct. 12, 13, 14, 15, 19, 20, 21, and 22. Where? Playwrights’ Theatre.
* What? The Servant of Two Masters: Offers the traditional comic business called Lazzi. Fast-paced story based on young love and mistaken identities, containing the elements of a popular Italian improvised comedy under the auspices of Commedia Dell’arte. Written by Carlos Goldoni and adapted by Lee Hall. When? Oct. 26, 27, 28, 29, Nov. 2, 3, 4, and 5. Where? University Theatre.
* What? Miriam’s Flowers: Details a young woman’s effort to create a sense of personal value through destructive sexual behavior and self-mutilation. Written by Midaglia Cruz. When? Nov. 16, 17, 18, 19, 30, Dec. 1, 2 and 3. Where? Playwrights’ Theatre.
