Sac State Says: Students frustrated over new fee increases

Over $500 in new student fees were approved

President Luke Wood approved four out of five student fee increases. Sac State students responded, voicing their concerns about both incoming and current students being placed in potential financial hardship.

Students highlighted how the fee money could positively restructure amenities on campus, including on-campus parking and arts centers.

(she/her) Jada Trowel is a second-year journalism major born and raised in the city of Sacramento. Sharmarke Holif, Multimedia Staffer

(he/him) Sharmarke Holif is a third year student from Elk Grove majoring in journalism. This is his second semester at The State Hornet. He is looking foward to learning about how to be a good investigator and story teller. In his free time, he adores watching Magic: The Gathering gameplay and Dungeons & Dragons campaigns. He is a huge fantatic about both fantasy and sci-fi, holding immense love for franchises like Star Wars and the Lord of the Rings. He hopes to pursue a career as a news anchor or news editor.
