The three also talk about what lies ahead of them post grad and advice they’d give to people who are just coming into college.

Magaly Muñoz joined The State Hornet as an opinion writer in fall 2019 and went on to run the opinion section as editor for the 2020-2021 school year. Magaly is the fall 2021 managing editor and will graduate with her bachelors degree in journalism in spring 2022. After graduation, she hopes to delve into magazine writing or publishing.

Jordan Parker, editor in chief

Jordan Parker is the editor-in-chief of The State Hornet. He took the helm of one of the largest news organizations in the Sacramento region in May 2021 and leads the newsroom staff as well as all editorial content published on the website and its affiliated social media channels.

Marin Perego, arts and entertainment editor

Marin Perego joined The State Hornet as an arts & entertainment beat writer in fall 2021. She is a senior majoring in journalism and minoring in communication studies. After graduation, she hopes to continue reporting within the A&E realm.
