Students met with employers for internship opportunities at the Fun in the Sun Internship Fair in the Library Quad on Friday, April 29.

According to the Internship Program Coordinator, Candace McGee, the internship fair had a “great turnout,” with 300 students submitting evaluations to the Career Center.

Junior business major Amneet Sangha said it was a great opportunity for students to get their foot in the door.

The fair was not attended by Sacramento State students only.

Isaac Capuchin said he and friends Angel Gonzalez and Jackie Castaeda, who are not Sac State students, are completing their high school diplomas with the Sacramento Regional Conservation Corps and heard about the internship event from their counselor, who was a former student at Sac State.

“It’s very helpful. It gives us more options,” Gonzalez said. “There are a lot of places you can go, if you do it.”

Over 40 employers, including Walgreens and Farmers Insurance, were present at the fair. The Fun in the Sun Internship Fair was the closing event for Internship Week.
