Sacramento State police and the city’s fire department responded to an incident that occurred at the Hornet Bookstore between 2 and 3 p.m. on Friday.

The Sacramento Fire Department reported that the pulley belts inside the air conditioning unit rubbed against one another that led to its malfunction.

“There was no fire at the incident,” said Chris Harvey, the Sacramento Fire Department’s public information officer.
