Festival of New American Music preview

Sacramento State kicks off the 38th annual Festival of New American Music now through Sunday, Nov. 15, 2015.

Caballito Negro and Sac State alumnus Eugene Villanueva will open up the festival with a gala concert hosted in Capistrano Hall at 8 p.m.

FeNAM will consist of a variety of widely-acclaimed acts like pianist Geoffrey Burleson, the Lydian String Quartet and Sac State saxophone professor Keith Bohm.

Admission to all events will be free and evening concerts will be streamed online for those who are unable to attend.

The festival will be hosted in several arenas including the Crocker Art Museum, Capistrano Concert Hall, McClatchy High School, Natomas Charter School, Rio Americano High School and Sacramento City College. Parking will be free for concerts hosted in the evening at Capistrano Concert Hall after 7 p.m. For day concerts, a limited amount of courtesy permits will be available in Capistrano’s lobby one hour prior to the event start time.
