Each April, Sacramento State encourages alumni to get involved on campus and within the Sac State community by attending an event on campus, joining the Alumni Association or writing a story about their adventures as alumni.

Sac State asked alumni to consider what going to the university meant to them academically, professionally and socially, along with how their time on campus has improved their life out in the real world. This connection between Sac State alumni and current Sac State students helps students grow academically, socially and within their field. By having current students read stories of alumni it can help them grow within their field and within their educational experience.

CSUS also works with local businesses during April to get alumni discounts wherever possible. All the alumni have to do is pick up an Alumni Discount Card in the Alumni Center on campus any time in April, 2013. Liberty Mutual is the sponsor for this event.
