Women’s basketball sneaks past North Dakota

Joe Davis

The Sacramento State women’s basketball team improved to 5-3 in the Big Sky Conference after a road win against University of North Dakota.

The 79-77 victory marked the fourth win out of the last five games for the Hornets.

In what has become the norm for the Hornets, Sacramento State’s all-time leading rebounder, Kylie Kuhns, posted a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Five rebounds came on the offensive glass.

As impressive as Kuhns’ performance was, the star of the night was junior guard Alle Moreno.

Moreno shot better than 50 percent from the floor including going 5 for 10 from the 3-point line. Moreno led all scorers with 25 points on the night.

Sac State will try to continue its hot streak with one more road game against Northern Colorado before returning home.
