The Hornets fell to 0-2-0 on the season with a loss by the score of 4-0 to the Butler Bulldogs on Monday. The game was played in Dayton, Ohio and it was the conclusion of the Dayton Marriot Flyer Classic.

The Hornets were on their heels all day as the Bulldogs had 13 shots on goal to the Hornets’ 2. Goalie Ryan Kenney played the entire game and provided 8 saves on the day.

After the end of the match, the members of the Dayton Marriot Flyer Classic All-Tournament team were announced. Hornets Josh Zimbrich and Brady Nunes were honored with a spot on the squad.

The Hornet soccer team returns to Hornet Field to play Portland on Friday, Sept. 7.
