Women’s rowing wins WIRA team points trophy

Despite not winning a single event gold medal at the WIRA Championship grand finals on Sunday, Sacramento State won its second consecutive WIRA (Western Intercollegiate Rowing Association) championship at Lake Natoma.
Each of Sac State’s six competing boats finished in the top five of its respective race.
The varsity eight (fourth), second varsity eight (third), novice eight (fifth), varsity four (fourth), pair (third) and novice four (second) secured the title for the Hornets.
