Letter: Get the most of your frat life

State Hornet Staff

Over the past several years an organization, which has fostered the true meaning of Greek life has been over looked on the Sacramento State campus. This organization is the Order of Omega. Known among Greeks as the most prominent Greek Honorary Society on campus, the more than 200 alumni and 60 plus active chapter has served this campus well and has fostered a commitment to improving Greek Life. The Order of Omega is now more than ever taking bold strides this semester to broaden scope and recognition for their member?s hard work. The Order of Omega has for the past several years contributed priceless support for the Greek system and campus. A SAFE RIDES volunteer and LOAVES and FISHES community support group, members of the Order of Omega strive for excellence on campus and off. Last year the Order of Omega co-sponsored the New Member Education Night for Greeks with the Student Activities Office, resulting in the highest turn out of new members for a spring term. The Order of Omega at Sac State is also establishing a scholarship program for outstanding Greeks. The Order of Omega is the Nation’s largest Greek honorary Society, and it is an honor and a privilege to have such a prominent group of leaders on our campus.

I encourage all Greeks to look into the Order of Omega, broaden their Greek experience, and share their leadership abilities with the rest of the Greek community and campus. Applications are now available through your chapter president and due September 28 in Student Activities mailbox number 70.
