Think Marilyn Manson is scary? You should see his feminine counterparts, Kittie. The girls that make up Kittie: Morgan, Fallon, Talena and Mercedes, possess the sound of both an angel and a beast with the coating of some glamour rock star gone gothic.

The girls have made it pretty big in their career, despite the fact that they?re still in high school.

“We?re intense, and a lot of people just don?t expect it,” said drummer Mercedes Lander. “That?s why ?Spit? is my favorite song in the world, people expect us to suck, then we get on stage and blow them away.”

For being just yearlings in high school, these girls have already played huge concerts, like Ozzfest 2000, not to mention touring Europe, Japan and homeland Canada.

Being only 16 years old might be too young to do some things, like buy a pack of cigarettes or a drink at the bar, but for these girls, they?re not letting their age hold them back from a single thing. Including explicit lyrics that could make the mind reel.

Songs like “Do you think . . .” or “Jonny,” being played by four cute young girls, is an explosive combination that sometimes results in bizarre things.

“The worst thing that has happened to me is that someone came and asked me to sign his —-,” one of the members quoted on Antimtv.com.

Despite their appearance and provocative lyrics, Kittie does possess some musical talent, which is what makes them an everlasting band, rather than just some pop-star fad.
