Sacramento Mountain Lions drop game against Omaha Nighthawks

The Sacramento Mountain Lions lost the lead in the final quarter, surrendering the win Saturday at Rosenblatt Stadium to the Omaha Nighthawks 20-17.
Former NFL quarterback Jeff Garcia stole the win from the Mountain Lions with a 13-yard touchdown pass to tight end Jeb Putzier late in the fourth quarter. The Mountain Lions dropped to 1-2 on the season.
Mountain Lions’ quarterback Daunte Culpepper helped to give the team a lead in with 11:28 left in the game. The rally brought the Mountain Lions from a 12-0 deficit and they took the lead 17-12.
The Mountain Lions return home to take on the Las Vegas Locomotives at Hornet Stadium on Oct. 15.
