Santana LaTour is a transfer student from Sacramento City Community College and is currently working on her earning her bachelor’s degree in journalism. This is her first semester at the State Hornet as a news reporter. Santana has experience with news writing and photography. Her plan is to graduate by the end of next semester or spring 2025 and pursue a career as a journalist or editor.

The shooting incident occurred at the University and 65th Street light rail station Thursday March 21, 2024. Light rail service was interrupted in both directions as Sac City PD detectives and CSI processed the crime scene.
