The Sac State softball team started Big Sky Conference play strong with a 2-1 tournament record with strong pitching on defense and clutch plays from Hornets’ offense.
Freshman forward Summah Hanson, distance runner Brandon Moreno, sophomores Kara Houghton and guard Benthe Versteeg, junior Zoe Ewell and senior third baseman Lewa Day all broke individual and season records in February of the spring semester. Six total records were broken by the Hornets and three more were tied.
