Aftershock, Sacramento’s largest rock and metal festival, makes an electrifying return as fans prepare to “shove it” to the front of the ticket lines which begin at 11 a.m. daily from Oct. 2-5, 2025.
The festival will feature four days of mosh mayhem as iconic bands like blink-182, Korn and Bring Me The Horizon each take the spotlight next weekend. Over 115 other bands are expected to perform across each of the four stages spread throughout Discovery Park.
Besides blink-182’s headlining performance on Thursday, other early 2000s rock rumblers will be taking control of the stage. The All-American Rejects and Hoobastank are just a couple of many others joining for a nostalgic screamfest.
Sacramento metalheads may find themselves rushing for the barricades, as the legendary nu metal band Deftones is set to perform at the Jack Daniel’s Stage on Friday, Oct. 3 at 9:25 p.m. The band’s hometown performance will mark their 30th anniversary of their aptly-named debut album, “Adrenaline.”
Other eyecatchers of that day include the Baltimore-based hardcore band Turnstile and the 2024 Grammy-nominated hardcore band Knocked Loose. Both are set to perform at the Jack Daniel’s Stage at 7:05 p.m. and 5:25 p.m., respectively.
As if Friday’s endless stream of face-melting, hardcore riffage isn’t enough, more metal superstars will bring out a third wave of destruction on Saturday. Day three features bands like Slaughter to Prevail, Chevelle and the French heavy metal band Gojira, whom many may remember from their Grammy-winning opening performance for the 2024 Paris Olympics. Ending the night on the Jack Daniel’s Stage is Korn, who will get the crowd churning until they go “Blind” at 9:25 p.m.
For those looking to catch Bay Area-based hardcore acts on Saturday, bands like San Jose’s SPY will open the pit at 11:25 a.m., while Sunami closes the DWPresents Stage at 7:15 p.m.
After three days of constant headbanging, thrashing and flailing, the festival’s final day begins on Sunday with performances from Marilyn Manson, Flyleaf, Rob Zombie, Machine Head and 2024 returner Static-X. Don’t “Drown” in the ocean of frenzied metal fanatics just yet – Bring Me The Horizon begins their show at 8:30 p.m. at the Jack Daniel’s Stage before the four-day festival ends at 10 p.m. that night.

The festival, which saw an attendance of 160,000 fans in 2024, is currently offering single-day general admission and VIP passes. This year, Aftershock introduced four-day Capital Club VIP passes that will grant attendees access to exclusive lounge areas, viewing decks, re-entry privileges and various complimentary offerings like cocktails, snacks and Wi-Fi.
