Molly Mellon is a third-year political science and journalism major in her first semester at The State Hornet. Molly has previously worked as a journalism intern for the Construction Industry Research Board and is passionate about covering housing issues, LGBTQ+ issues and politics. When she’s not in the newsroom, you can find Molly involved with the theatre department or at work as a resident advisor. She also enjoys board games, singing and Dungeons & Dragons.

The PRIDE Resource Fair provided Sacramento State students resources and information from organizations in Sacramento and on-campus Oct. 8, 2025. The fair was an event held by the PRIDE Center, which provides resources for and hosts events celebrating LGBTQ+ members of the Sacramento State community.

The PRIDE Center provides community and resources for LGBTQ+ Sacramento State students. They also create events for all Sac State community members to celebrate and learn about the LGBTQ+ community.

The California Faculty Association sued the California State University for complying with a federal subpoena for personal contact information of all employees since 2023. This follows a message from the CSU Chancellor’s Office about the Equal Employment Opportunities Commission subpoena and an investigation from the U.S. Department of Education Office for Civil Rights two weeks earlier.
