Leah Lentz is a journalism major and in her first semester as a news staffer for The State Hornet. She previously served as the Editor-in-Chief on the Sacramento City College Express for two semesters. Leah is passionate about covering public policy and gained experience reporting on politics during a recent internship with Capitol Weekly. Outside the newsroom, she enjoys discovering new trails to hike with her husband and terrier, Walter White.

At a Sacramento State forum on diplomacy, Mexican Consul General Christian Tonatiuh González Jiménez held a candid discussion on leadership and public service. As the historic federal government shutdown continues, more than 3,600 Sacramento State students face CalFresh delays, according to Sac State officials. Campus resources, like the ASI Food Pantry and Basic Needs Resource Center, are working to meet an expected increase in demand.
