Sacramento State students, faculty and staff will have to find another way to drive to classes on Tuesday because State University Drive South and part of State University Drive West will be closed from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. for a memorial service for the fallen Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District firefighter James Saunders.

All students, faculty and staff will not have access to State University Drive West from Parking Structure 1 at Sinclair Road to State University Drive South and from Stadium Way to State University Drive East. However, pedestrian and bicycle paths will not be closed.

Saunders’ memorial service will be at 10: 30 a.m. on Tuesday at the Hornet Stadium and will be an opportunity for the family and friends of Saunders to pay their respects.
