Volleyball advances to NCAA Tournament

The Sacramento State volleyball team captured the Big Sky Conference volleyball tournament on Saturday, upsetting top-seeded Eastern Washington in four games (30-25, 30-26, 26-30, 30-27) in Cheney, Wash.
With the conference tournament title, The Hornets (24-10) will receive an automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament. The tournament title was Sac State’s fifth in the past six years.
The Eagles (29-2), ranked No. 12 coming into the match, will most likely make the NCAA Tournament as an at-large team. The Hornets have handed Eastern Washington both of their losses on the season.
Hornets Jayme Wright and Sandra Bandimere were name d to the all-tournament team, while junior Lisa Beauchene was named MVP.
