Hornet sports this weekend

Football
The Hornets will play Cal Poly at 6:05 on Saturday in their season opener at Hornet Stadium.
They will look to improve to 2-0, following last week’s 24-21 victory over Saint Mary’s. The game will mark the first Sac State appearance by junior linebacker Santi Hall, a transfer from UCLA.
Volleyball
After a 3-0 win over Fresno Pacific on Tuesday in the home opener, the Hornets improved to 2-2 on the young season.
Tonight, they will travel to San Marcos, Texas, where they will compete in the B&G Properties Classic, which will also include Southwest Texas, Saint Louis, Arizona St., and IUPUI.
Men’s Soccer
Off to their best start in the history of the program, the Hornets will open their road season with a trip to Corvallis, Ore on Saturday, with a game versus Oregon St. The team will face the Illinois, also in Corvallis.
Women’s Soccer
At 4-0-1, the Hornets are also off to the best start they’ve ever had. They will host Pacific today at 4 p.m., in hopes of remaining undefeated.
Cross Country
Coming off their first home meet in three years, Sac State will head to San Francisco on Saturday, where they will be up against USF.
