MOJO: Adventure provider sells new bike jerseys to community
December 13, 2007
Peak Adventures, an outdoor adventure provider, is now selling brand new Sacramento State bike jerseys on campus between the Library Quad and the University Union in an attempt to replace the 4-year-old jerseys that were previously on sale.
The jerseys cost $60 for the general public and $54 for students.
The jerseys were designed by alumni Andrea Baker and Tyler Newell and senior business administration major Chad Stephens.
When designing the jerseys, the trio was looking to create a uniform jersey that would be wearable for everyone and represented the Sac State community.
The idea to replace the older jerseys solidified when customers began to regularly enter the Peak Adventures office questioning why there hadn’t been any newer jersey designs in awhile.
A group of riders that is attempting to restart the Cycling Club at Sac State were also influential in the movement towards new jersey designs.
“They really helped push towards the new jerseys,” Stephens said. “They were looking for uniform jerseys for everyone.”
