What some students may see as garbage that was left outside of Kadema Hall, first semester art studio graduate student So Hyung Choi sees it as not just her art, but also a grade.

Each pile was about 4 ½ feet tall. The items ranged from an old Mac computer to briefcases and old cassette tapes, which could be seen in each piece.

The project was her semester final. The theme was “Memories.”

“(Each piece) relates to a past experience,” Choi said.

Her piece was the only project that was outside.

“She brought art to the masses,” fellow classmate Omar Arason said.

Arason explained that having her piece outside attracted more students to the area that normally would not be there.
