Zaher named men’s tennis coach

Former Hornet tennis player Sherif Zaher was named head coach of the men’s tennis team on Thursday by Hornet Athletic Director Terry Wanless.
On the court for the Hornets, Zaher was named Big Sky Conference Most Valuable Player in 2001 and 2002. Least season, Zaher guided the Hornets to their fourth Big Sky Championship in five years.
“He’s a young, highly motivated and energetic coach who brings a lot of playing experience to the position,” Wanless said in a Sports Information Department press release.
The men’s tennis team will kick off their 2003 season in early February.
