Wrapping It Up
February 27, 2007
Sacramento State celebrated its sixth-annual National Condom Day Wednesday in the Library fountain square.
The fact that day happened to fall on Valentine’s Day was no coincidence either, said senior pre-nursing major Teresa Hibbard who works with Sac State’s Student Health Services.
It’s very appropriate that Condom Day, also known as Sexual Responsibility Week, falls on Valentine’s Day, Hibbard said.
“Everyone thinks they know about doing it,” Hibbard said. “But you’d be surprised how many people don’t know.” The event was sponsored Health Services.
Students were encouraged to stop by and receive free sample packages of contraceptives and brochures. While there, students could participate in the “condom test.”
Plenty of Health Services staff were on hand to answer questions and offer any kind of information for those curious.
The Health Center is located off of State University Dr. across the street from Yosemite Hall.
