Woman attacked near Parking Structure I, police say

On Monday, Sept. 18, just before noon, a woman was attacked across from Parking Structure I, near Hornet Crossing, according to a University Police Department Alert Bulletin.
The victim was walking northbound on State University Drive West toward the parking structure when she was grabbed by a male suspect. The victim pulled away and ran, and the suspect ran in the other direction, according to the bulletin.
The suspect is described as a white male adult, approximately 40 years old, 6 feet tall, 185 pounds with a thin build, salt and pepper colored short hair and a beard, wearing a light colored shirt, blue jeans and white tennis shoes.
In terms of suspects, “We have some people we’re looking at,” said Lt. Dan Davis, of the campus police. “Remember to walk in pairs, avoid isolated areas and report anybody suspicious.”
“This was an isolated incident, we hope,” Davis said.
