A night of skating titled “Every Body Get Ya Roll On,” presented by the Cooper-Woodson College Student Association, is scheduled for 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 6 at Kings Skate Country with admission ranging from $6 to $8.

Kings Skate Country is located at 2900 Bradshaw Road in Sacramento.

The event is meant to unite everyone not just black people, said Jasmin Jennings, a senior electrical engineering major. It allows people from all culture to hang out and see what other people and clubs are all about, Jennings said.

The Friday event is part of the annual Black Fall Welcome fair, which kicked off on Tuesday.

“It is important for African American organizations to be represented on campus,” said Shani Alford, a senior business marketing major. “We’re looking to recruit transfer students and freshmen but everyone is always welcome.”
