Three concerts for your weekend

Sacramento State has three concerts lined up to add some live music to your weekend.
Friday will bring soprano Claudia Kitka and guitarist Gilda Taffet to Capistrano Hall room 151 for an 8 p.m. performance of “Viva la Musica!” as part of National Hispanic Heritage Month. Tickets are $6 general admission and $4 for students and seniors.
Indian vocalist Veena Sahasrabuddhe will perform at Sac State?s Music Recital Hall in Capistrano Hall at 7 p.m. Saturday. The concert is sponsored by the Vivek Wagle Memorial Foundation, in cooperation with Sac State?s Department of Music and World Music Club. Tickets are $15 general admission and $8 for students and seniors.
The Chamber Music Society of Sacramento will perform “Vienna Beyond Waltzes” at 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the Music Recital Hall. The program includes pieces by Mozart, Schubert and violinist Fritz Kriesler, and will feature the guitar of guest artist Gyan Riley, a graduate of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Tickets are $20 general, $15 seniors and $10 for students.
