Damon Wayans stars in new sitcom

Stand-up comedian and actor Damon Wayans is starring in “My Wife andKids,” a new half-hour sitcom on ABC Television.
Wayans plays Michael Kyle, a married father of three who can’t reconcilewhat he thinks his life should be like with its reality. Wayans was acast member on the Emmy-winning FOX comedy series “In Living Color,” andhas appeared in numerous films, including “Beverly Hills Cop,” “BulletProof,” and “Major Payne.”
His stay-at-home wife, Janet, has become successful in the stock marketand his three children don’t behave to his specifications. His son,Jr., idolizes rap stars instead of him, his older daughter Claire isalways asking for money, and his younger daughter Kady doesn’t let himget the last word.
Wayans’ character struggles to stay the head of his household and tohave a “normal” American family.
Janet Kyle is played by actress and singer Tisha-Campbell-Martin, whoplayed one of the singer/narrators in “Little Shop of Horrors,” and hasappeared in the films “School Daze,” “Boomerang,” “Sprung,” “HouseParty” I-III, and she played Martin Lawrence’s girlfriend Gina for fiveyears on the FOX comedy “Martin.”
The show also stars George O. Gore II as Jr. Kyle, Jazz Raycole asClaire Kyle, and Parker McKenna Posey as Kady Kyle.
“My Wife and Kids” premieres on Wednesday at 8 p.m., March 28.
