2nd Annual Run for Life to raise money for services at Sac State?s LIFE Center

The second annual Run 4 LIFE, which will benefit Sacramento State?s LIFE Center, will be held on Sunday, Oct. 8.
Proceeds from the five-mile race will go to the LIFE Center, located in Sac State?s Julia Morgan House on T Street. The LIFE Center helps seniors by providing them with health services, education and research information.
Approximately 500 individuals participated in last year?s race and raised over $12,000 for the LIFE Center. That number is expected to increase this year.
Registration for the race begins at 7 a.m. at the Steven Lee Yamshon Alumni Center on State University Drive, just east of Hornet Stadium. Runners will start at 8 a.m. and walkers will begin at 8:30.
The race is open to the public, and food, t-shirts, prizes and entertainment will be provided.
Children under the age of 12 and seniors over the age of 80 race for free. The regular registration fee is $25; early registration fees are $20, if received by Oct. 2.
