Matthew Altier, vice president of real property and new business development, and executive director of University Enterprises, Inc. at Sacramento State recently announced his resignation.

Altier accepted a position as vice president of administration and finance at Richard Stockton College of New Jersey.

He will be leaving Sac State in April.

Altier decided to make the move to be closer to his family. He has been with Sac State for almost seven years.

Altier began as associate vice president of Facilities Management, where he helped to create the landscaping plan at Sac State. He was the executive director University Enterprises, Inc. for the last three years.

Altier helped develop many of the current University Enterprises, Inc. projects including the new bookstore and the Upper East Side Lofts. He also helped to get the Academic Information Resource Center building completed when he was with Facilities Management.

Altier said he expects that President Gonzalez will place someone as interim vice president while locating a suitable replacement.
