Sacramento State students will receive another grant from the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) in the first week of October, according to a SacSend email from President Robert Nelsen.

Chet Madison Jr., a Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office chief deputy, has been named the new chief of the Sacramento State Police Department, according to Vice President for Administration and Chief Financial Officer Jonathan Bowman.

Sacramento State’s ASI Board of Directors approved a resolution in support of a credit/no credit option for the fall semester during its meeting Wednesday, but the provost of academic affairs said it may be too late in the semester for administration to implement.
