Ruth Finch is a journalism major in her third semester with The State Hornet. She’s previously served as copy editor and DEI staffer, and this year she’s a member of the visuals staff. She’s passionate about covering music, housing issues and LGBTQ+ issues. Outside The State Hornet, she likes to play music, practice film photography and make short films.

On Oct. 7, Sacramento State’s chapter of Students for Justice in Palestine held an exhibit commemorating two years since the initial attacks that sparked the ongoing conflict in Gaza. The exhibit demonstrated the conditions of the five stages of famine experienced by Palestinians during this time.
