Julian Panela, A&E Staffer

(he/him) Julian Panela is in his junior year at Sacramento State and in his second year at The State Hornet. Majoring in journalism, he hopes to continue his journey in journalism drives to tell people’s stories and cover underrepresented communities. He is excited to continue covering anything and everything arts and entertainment. Coming off his first semester with PRMA, he is excited to see what new opportunities he can create for himself this semester. He is a big music enthusiast, coffee enthusiast and isn’t afraid to try new things spontaneously.

Shawn Chand, A&E Staffer

(he/him) Shawn Chand is a journalism major in his senior year at Sacramento State. This is his second semester at The State Hornet as a part of the arts and entertainment section. Equipped with a deep appreciation of pop culture, he plans to pursue a career at a music journalism publication in the future. He is interested in music, culinary arts and dance.

Kristopher Caalim, Podcast Staffer

(he/him) Kristopher Caalim returns to The State Hornet for his third semester. This is his final year as a student majoring in journalism with a minor in film studies. He aims to work in fields related to arts and entertainment as he enjoys exploring pop culture and its history. In addition to his work at The State Hornet, he has a passion for writing in general and is a huge fan of nearly anything.
