The SAVE Act, or Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act, was introduced in Congress to prevent noncitizens from voting. The act would require citizens to show proof of citizenship when registering to vote, which could affect people whose names do not match their birth certificates, such as married women who took their spouse’s last name.
On Nov. 10, a student was booked on charges of assault with a deadly weapon and impersonation of a police officer after hitting another student with a car equipped with lights and sirens.

CSU Chancellor Mildred García updated all CSU employees on the budget and the federal investigations into the CSU in a newsletter Thursday, Oct. 16. The $144 million loan will provide funding to CSU employees and must be repaid next July.
