The contract of men’s basketball coach Jerome Jenkins is not being renewed, according to a press release from the Sacramento State Athletics Department.

The team’s season ended Tuesday with an 89-69 loss to Weber State. The Hornets were 4-24 overall and 2-14 in conference play this season.

Jenkins departs after eight years on the bench for the Hornets. His overall record at Sac State is 80-147 (37-81 in conference). Jenkins led the program to four conference tournament appearances although none of his team’s ever finished above .500.
