After being cut by the Baltimore Ravens last month, former Sacramento State receiver DeAndre Carter signed with the Oakland Raiders practice squad, announced by the team on Monday.

Carter originally signed with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent after the 2015 NFL Draft last May.

The speedy receiver struggled with the Ravens during preseason, as he fumbled twice on special teams during the first two games.

Last year with the Hornets, Carter was the only unanimous All-Big Sky Conference selection and led the Football Subdivision Championship with 99 receptions, 1,321 receiving yards and 17 touchdowns.

Carter broke Sac State’s single-season record in all three categories.
