Co-captains Anton Stryhas and Sven-David Rueff provided the only singles victories for Sacramento State Saturday again St. Mary’s in a 4-3 loss.

The Hornets took the doubles point as sophomore Stryhas and freshman Kiryl Harbatsiuk won the No. 1 match 8-2 while freshman Ronan Conlon and sophomore Holden Ching won the No. 3 match 8-5.

Stryhas’ victory against Lucas Tirelli was his ninth consecutive overall in singles play, defeating Tirelli 6-3, 7-6 (5). Rueff defeated Youssef El Bouzkouri in the No. 6 match 6-3, 3-6, 6-1

The Hornets record falls to 5-7 overall and they conclude a three-day run in the Bay Area against Santa Clara at 1 p.m, Sunday in Santa Clara.
