The Sacramento State men’s tennis team stayed perfect in the Big Sky Conference with a 5-2 win over Weber State and a 7-0 win over Idaho State Saturday in Sacramento.

Sophomore Anton Stryhas’ two victories extended his win streak to 17 this season.

Junior Sven-David Rueff was ill during his match against Weber State and lost the first set, but came back to win his ninth in a row.

“It was a pretty good weekend – that’s all I have to say,” Rueff said.

Stryhas, Rueff and freshmen Kiryl Harbatsiuk and Artur Klimenka were 2-0 on the day. Sophomore Holden Ching and freshman Ronan Conon each posted one win.

The Hornets won the No. 1 and No. 3 doubles matches against Weber State and swept doubles play against Idaho State.

Sac State will play Portland State at 1 p.m. April 12 at Rio Del Oro Racquet Club in Sacramento.
