The Sacramento State women’s tennis team fell to Oregon 4-3 Sunday. The Hornets’ record dropped to 11-2 overall this season.

Juniors Luba Schifris and Karina Jarlkaganova gave the Hornets their only singles victories. Schifris defeated Ana Cecilia Olivos 7-5, 6-4. Jarlkaganova defeated Stephanie Macfarlane 6-4, 6-0.

The doubles point went to the Hornets as freshman Melissa Valenzuela and sophomore Katrina Zheltova won the No. 1 match 9-7 while sophomore Aileen Tsan and junior Anastassia Lyssenko won the No. 3 match 9-7.

The Hornets are off from competition for 10 days until they play Denver at 1:30 p.m. on March 20 at Rio Del Oro Racquet Club in Sacramento.
