Free attendance for students at California Higher Education Student Summit

ASI Board approved funds to pay for 60 Sac State students to attend the California Higher Education Student Summit for free.

The summit is put on by the California State Student Association and will be taking place in Sacramento from April 18 to 21.

Miguel Cervantes, ASI executive vice president, said the summit will allow students to build leadership and communication skills, network with students all over CA, and learn about issues relating to higher education.

Registered students will be required to attend workshops, a press conference at the State Capitol, and the March for Higher Education from Raley Field to the State Capitol.

All Sac State students will be eligible to apply when ASI finalizes the application.

Students who apply and are chosen through ASI will save the registration fee of $150 each.
